Western Avenue: Elevating OKC with a stylish lookbook

The year was 2016 and the Western Avenue District in Oklahoma City voted to have its own magazine lookbook-style publication featuring each sponsored business on the pages. Ultimately, 35 small businesses bought into the sponsorship opportunity, and over the course of 3 months, I photographed, wrote, and pulled together the overall creative direction which would be folded into the design.

The 48-page specialty lookbook was as unique as the small business partners who participated. From restaurants to high-end boutiques for homes and occasions and proprietary service providers — the book impressed with its consistent yet diverse story.

I really enjoyed this project as editorial storytelling is a favorite craft—merging photography and words of impact while meeting the small business owners during the production process.

The branding for Western Avenue was completed so tastefully on point by CooperHouse — we will recommend them for all elevated branding needs.
